LEAD • EMPOWER • IMPROVE
Our History
With 292 chapters throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the U.K. - Junior League is about so much more than simply volunteering. Each chapter carefully researches the needs of its communities to identify opportunities to truly make a difference.
What was originally founded in 1928 as the Junior Aid has grown throughout North America and Europe with nearly 50 community programs serving the Inland Empire.
By forming strategic partnerships within the community, we create, raise funds and provide training for community initiatives that make a significant and enduring impact.
Junior League of Riverside has a long history of high level involvement with state government through the work with the State of Public Affairs Committee. Through its collaboration of chapters, SPAC, Junior league chapters work together as a nonpartisan education and advocacy organization. It is charged with promoting legislation which is favorable to the community projects of the 16 California Junior Leagues.
How we help
The Junior League of Riverside, a 100% volunteer based non-profit organization of women, has created the Inland Empire’s only Diaper Bank. Last fiscal year, the Diaper Bank served 600 families and distributed a staggering 175,000 diapers. This was accomplished through distributions to families at our monthly diaper distribution events and direct distribution to our community partner organizations.
